LANDCARE NETWORK

MAFFRA & DISTRICTS

Healthy Landscapes, Thriving Communities

The Maffra and Districts Landcare Network (MDLN) began in the 1980s with western Victoria farmers joining forces to tackle local environmental problems such as weeds, rabbits and erosion.

The Landcare movement has grown and evolved with time and now includes rural, coastal and urban groups right across the Australian landscape.

It has also adopted a broader focus of sustainable management of our natural resources.

Landcarers are united by a shared desire to create positive change in their local community and environment.
